    Hi Pitts, bit late only just seen your post. I used the Rigging plans for hms Alert from here https://drive.google.com/drive/mobile/folders/1ZBOCp4Te0XlSfVsxf21e5k_JthVS_xX-?usp=sharing and made the sails from model aircraft tissue (silkspan). Hope this helps

    Tried the blocks from Kevin at Ktl_model_shop on ebay and they are excellent. Made from a nice 3d printed wood coloured in various sizes. Also purchased his cannons and ships boats, all very well made and again in 3d printed. He will make custom sizes if you need them as he did for me. https://ebay.us/m/JcJEF9

The Guild is a non-profit educational organization whose mission is to “Advance Ship Modeling Through Research”. We provide support to our members in their efforts to raise the quality of their model ships.

The Nautical Research Guild has published our world-renowned quarterly magazine, The Nautical Research Journal, since 1955. The pages of the Journal are full of articles by accomplished ship modelers who show you how they create those exquisite details on their models, and by maritime historians who show you the correct details to build.
