This is my first post. I'm currently building the Amati felucca and had a question about the shape of the bow. The bow has a flat "face" (for lack of a better term)- see attached pictures. I've looked around the Internet and could not find any pictures of a felucca with a similarly shaped bow. Do you know if this bow shape is actually used on real ships or is it fictional and/or suited towards novice builders?
As an introduction, this is my 2nd wooden ship kit (and my first planked kit), so I definitely consider myself a novice. My first wooden kit was the Mini-Mamoli Evergreen (for which I used MSW quite a bit to figure out the rigging). I'm a transplant from styrene plastic airplane kits. Thanks in advance.
