  1. Thanks - yes - go Bills. imjust realized that one of the kits I ended up with that has more completed parts in it is the Corel HMS Victory, but I must say HMS Vanguard from Model Shipways looks like a better kit even with the need to repair some broken parts and replace some of the decking (it has the wrong sized deck plank widths).
  2. Thank you all. And, Grandpa Phil, I found the plans, thank you!
  3. Hello from Buffalo, New York, USA. thank you for allowing me to join the group. I’m a newbie entirely and have always been curious about the wooden ships. I’m certain I’ve acquired much more than a typical newbie would having purchased a bunch of items from an estate sale a few years ago. Some of the kits are all jumbled, there were about 7 of them or so and all were started except for one. id agree with the advice for newcomers as far as starting with an easier kit, but for me when I am able to s-end time with any of the hobby my path is pre-ordained since these cost a few bux and transporting them home was no easy feat. I sorted most of the components back to where they should be and that was interesting and a long time will tell. anyway, the kit that brought me here was one of the kits that was started from the acquisition, it is the HMS Vanguard from Model Shipways and my search for a build of it took me here to a member that had started the kit and was doing a masterful job to me. Unfortunately he did not finish the kit. He stated in the thread on this forum that he had a terminal medical issue and his last post was in 2021. I am grateful that he posted what he did and that it is available to see for someone like me and any others interested. so, thank you, -dave
