    Day 3: started to paint and added some more stringers to the sides

    Day 2: Problem fixed with some wood filler, and extreme amounts of glue. I also added something underneath, and the bow.

    Day 1, later: stupid wood broke when bending it, so i just broke it into place and glued it on piece by piece

    I've always wanted a modelship, because they look great in a room, and the sails, masts, wood, is very beautiful. But of course I didn't want to buy someone else's model, so I found a cheap kit online that looked easy to build. At least it said so on the package. But it don't have any skills with my hands, so yeah here we go... Day 1: I marked the deck... everything is going fine so far

If you enjoy building ship models that are historically accurate as well as beautiful, then The Nautical Research Guild (NRG) is just right for you.

The Guild is a non-profit educational organization whose mission is to “Advance Ship Modeling Through Research”. We provide support to our members in their efforts to raise the quality of their model ships.

The Nautical Research Guild has published our world-renowned quarterly magazine, The Nautical Research Journal, since 1955. The pages of the Journal are full of articles by accomplished ship modelers who show you how they create those exquisite details on their models, and by maritime historians who show you the correct details to build.
