      The Charger now there was an insane car. All that power with cross  ply tyres and drum brakes. Crazy times. How good was Bullitt?

      The cars in The French connection. In one scene the cops pull up in a '68 Pontiac Bonneville, pretty much my car, there's also a Lincoln Continental that is brand new. Daily drivers in this movie are insane.

      I also like to watch those old shows. Some of those cars were outrageous. One of the Dirty Harry movies from the '70's, David Soul plays a young rogue cop, has a guy driving a tricked out Lincoln, if memory serves, side pipes and shaggy interior.

      Gidday David,

      I have a soft spot for Pontiac. I like most Yank Tanks from the 50's and 60's. 59 Cadillac is an outrageous car I'd  love to have. Late 50's to early 70's Caddies are great. Late 40's to early 70's Pontiacs are fantastic.

      I've also got an old Ford ute I'm doing up.My son has the 1968 Chevrolet Impala. Once the bug bites its hard to give it up. A bit like model making.

      I own a 1968 Pontiac Parisienne.  Right hand drive built in Canada and finished in Australia. Something to with USA company tax. Its like the USA Bonneville.

The Nautical Research Guild has published our world-renowned quarterly magazine, The Nautical Research Journal, since 1955.
