  1. Lilla Dan-Billing Boats

I bought this on Blocket (Swedish kind of Ebay) in 2015. It had spent its last 40-50 years or so on an attic somewhere. I don't know exactly when it was bought but somewhere in the late 60´s is the best guess based on drawings and labels on the box. Surprisingly almost all of the wood was in good condition and almost all of the fittings was still in the box. I had to manufacture only a few fittings by 3D-printing them.

The kit didn't come with any sails, but thanks to Mr Peter Visser (petervisser) on this forum that was solved like a miracle. He had sails over from his Lilla Dan built, and without any compensation he sent me the sails for free all the way from US to Sweden, and guess what, they fitted perfectly! The world would be a much better place if more people were as generous and kind as Peter. My most humble thanks to Peter!

Lilla Dan was a very fun and interesting built. Rigging threads and rigging sails was sort of new experience for me, but it worked out quite fine even if I most certain still has a lot to learn. The built of our house and the birth of my 2 daughters kind of slowed the progress down but this winter I finally had some time over to finalize the Lilla Dan project, about 8 years after purchasing it.

  2. Cux 87 Krabbenkutter

Cux 87 Krabbenkutter from Billing Boats. My second kit ever, a nice model to build. My next try will be the Lilla Dan from Billing Boats. Building time for the Krabbenkutter was exactly three years, but to my defence I'm not giving this hobby my attention every day...
