Hey everyone!

I spent my teenage years sailing during summers and building ship models during winters. I built several fairly complex plastic and wooden kits. It's been more than a decade, but I'm feeling the urge again. However, I still remember that I absolutely hated working on hulls (I don't find it fun) nor do I really have the time for it currently.  But I love masting, rigging and detailing, so I still want to build something.

So I was wondering, if anyone would have any recommendations for kits with somewhat readily usable hull kits of top sail schooners, brigs, brigantines or other nice fairly modern sailing vessels? I'm aware of the discontinued amati Roger B. Taney, which, seems to be exactly what I'm looking for and there is one on ebay, but I don't know if the hull is usable as is?
