I have fully assembled the jig except for the movable clamping rail.  Does this rail sit on top of  the small walnut slides 

or do the slides butt up against the movable clamping rail. The plans seem to show the rail on top of the slides, but

this would cause the two rails to be uneven.  Thanks for your help.   Macquis66
