I make my own rope using Guttermann poly threads. Rope coils, hanks and serving a line require an adhesive to retain desired shapes or to prevent unraveling. For cotton, diluted PVA glue is the product of choice... it doesn't work with poly rope. A spot of CA glue on a knot works
