The 1/205 JS ELCANO is a plastic base (Solid?) may be pre-painted too.  I have the 1/110 which was planked.  NOTE;  Artesania Latina is no longer making these versions.  Heard that they make be going out of business, BUT not sure.

There is a AL 1:110 currently on bid or buy (South Africa's version of ebay.)

Im trying to do research before I buy it, as AL has discontinued it and im scared I might run into trouble. Point is, if I do buy it you can get a copy of the plans by me.

The Guild is a non-profit educational organization whose mission is to “Advance Ship Modeling Through Research”. We provide support to our members in their efforts to raise the quality of their model ships.

The Nautical Research Guild has published our world-renowned quarterly magazine, The Nautical Research Journal, since 1955.
