    Hi, yes the project is small and simple. But now I have no time for anything more serious. I use spruce for the hull. It will be painted with stained walnut.

    I. The Hull The hull will be made from one piece of wood, as was the rule at the time. At least I won't carve it with fire.

    Hello, I want to introduce you my new project. This is an ancient Dorian ship. In the thick books it is determined from 3300 BC. I have a plan from a modeling magazine from 1983, a page from the book "The Ship" аnd some modern 3D pictures.

The Guild is a non-profit educational organization whose mission is to “Advance Ship Modeling Through Research”. We provide support to our members in their efforts to raise the quality of their model ships.

The Nautical Research Guild has published our world-renowned quarterly magazine, The Nautical Research Journal, since 1955. The pages of the Journal are full of articles by accomplished ship modelers who show you how they create those exquisite details on their models, and by maritime historians who show you the correct details to build.
