    Hi all I am starting a 48" Lake Union Dreamboat. It will be a radio control boat. Attached below are photos of a friend's completed model, as well as an early shot of his planking. This is just so you can see the lines. I am also attaching a photo of a real life Dreamboat where you can see the planking seam lines. In my project, I would like to show the planking lines. Therefore, I don't want to fiberglass over the exterior hull as this will hide the lines. I will fiberglass inside the hull for waterproofness. Consequently, I'd like to use a fairly hard wood like boxwood for the planking to be somewhat resistant to dings. For my project I have the following questions: 1. Would boxwood be a good choice here? 2. I am thinking 1/16" thickness as that scales up to 3/4 inch prototype thickness. Thoughts? 3. I am planning to either scribe the seam lines, or put a micro rabbet in the edge to highlight the seams. Thoughts? Thank you, Ken
