Dreamship - Novelty by KimatHm
This Ship was created and built completely at random, making decisions as to 'what to do next' as I progressed...The Finest Comment that I ever received, was from a MSW Member, stating that he wasn't sure if this was more 'Disney' or 'Tim Burton' , which until then, had never occurred to me...!!! This was a LOT of Fun, all the way...!!!

Cutty Sark I without sails - Revell - by KimatHm
This is 'The Old Revell Cutty Sark' (Circa 1959) with MAJOR Modifications done...Such as the plastic dead-eyes replaced & drilled out, and replaced with the wooden styles that are available...(Whew...!!! It's a LOT of work, but it's SO WORTH IT...when you stand back & look at it, and can say...Yep !! I did that !!) Other modifications were don, such as the wire footropes, and jackstays, in order to provide a 'Contrast' View for any observers...all as much to scale, as possible...Additionally, I prefer to use 'stains' on the deck, and small boats, in order to give a more realistic appearance ( wood !!)...it takes forever to dry (almost a week !!), but again...well worth it, for realism !!! Thanks for stopping by ...!!! Blessings, All !!

Cutty Sarks as a pair in display - by KimatHm
Here are the Two Cuttys', as displayed in their cases, to show her as she would appear in port, and again at sea...( I've always had 'double trouble' because I've always built my ships in 'pairs'...( just for kicks & grins...!!!)

Cutty Sark II with sails - Revell - by KimatHm
The Following photos are of the Same Model, Revell Cutty Sark, only completed with the sails...Of course, this is a LOT of work, including laying out the borders, and the Clew & Bunt lines, and Especially adding 4 colors to the 'plastic' sails, in order to give them both a 'Cloth' AND Weathered appearance ( colors used , acrylic water colors of 'Dust, Dirty White, Lt. Gray, and White )...When Illuminated with the LED Lights that I installed in the Cases, the effect is totally Awesome...!!! Thanks for stopping by, again...and Blessings, All...!!!
