    Hi Louie, aircraft carriers are a bit of a crossover from my first love of aeroplanes. I read somewhere on web that Ameer etc were the same class of carrier as and there was an available kit of, Gambier Bay (Casablanca Class but Ameer etc were Bogue Class, as ccoyle kindly pointed out). I might be able to get back to my own house after restrictions are lifted and continue with my Corel Victory cross-section.😷

    Hiya, thanks for clearing that up for me. I had read a bit on t'interweb but wasn't sure what was what. The search continues for another lockdown project. I am marooned in Inverness at the mo and wish I had brought my Shipyard Santa Maria with me!

    Hi from lockdown in Inverness Scotland. Been thinking about another project and thoughts landed on the Hasegawa USS Gambier Bay and whether it could be adapted to an HMS Ameer/Emperor? I am not a ship builder, more an aircraft buff, and am not even sure if they were the same class of ship.

The Guild is a non-profit educational organization whose mission is to “Advance Ship Modeling Through Research”. We provide support to our members in their efforts to raise the quality of their model ships.

The Nautical Research Guild has published our world-renowned quarterly magazine, The Nautical Research Journal, since 1955.
