    I was gifted this as a kit by my neighbor, who got it at a yard sale for a bargain. Mistakenly this was my 3rd boat kit. Since I have only joined the form yesterday I will pots today all the photos I have previously taken of her construction. Ill keep you up to date when I see fit. Smooth sailing, Broat

    Hey, I’m Broat from Pennsylvania,, and I am relatively new to modeling with only 5 kits under my belt but with each one I find that I enjoy the hobby more. I am currently working on the 1/96 USS Constitution from Revell that my neighbor also a fan of the hobby gifted to me after he saw my completed Revell 1/225 HMS Victory. Diving in to such a hard kit was probably a bit to much for someone so new but it has been fun so far although I have yet to rig her. After a few more plastic one I want to try a wooden kit. I have an interest in tall ships particularly the smaller craft, pre dreadnoughts, and dreadnoughts. Pulse smaller warships such as torpedo boats, and destroyers of all eras. I hope to lean form all the beautiful builds and people on here. Sorry for the state of my work space being messy i have not had time to invest in some good equipment. I pan to get something after I complete what I am currently working on. Smooth sailing, Broat

The Guild is a non-profit educational organization whose mission is to “Advance Ship Modeling Through Research”. We provide support to our members in their efforts to raise the quality of their model ships.

The Nautical Research Guild has published our world-renowned quarterly magazine, The Nautical Research Journal, since 1955. The pages of the Journal are full of articles by accomplished ship modelers who show you how they create those exquisite details on their models, and by maritime historians who show you the correct details to build.
