Hi. Thanks for your comments. The oar ports were indicated on the plans but the actual storage of the oars were not. Since I did not want to guess I did not show them anywhere. I would assume they would be stowed on deck somewhere but that would probably clutter the deck.

So sorry for the late reply. Thanks for the compliments. The Yamato kit was the new tool version. It is one of the best plastic kits I have had the chance to build. I added the Pontos set of brass barrels for all of the guns.

That's a good point about storage of oars on the outside along the poop deck altho I've never seen a period painting of such an arrangement. It would seem to make sense as the deck would be cluttered. I've seen some models with the oars thru the oar ports but I always thought it made the ship a bit odd looking for display and made the footprint of the model a lot wider.
