    Grandpaphil inspired me to try carving them myself. After thinking about it I went to hobby lobby and rummaged around and found modeling clay. Trying it right now and each attempt is lookin better. thanks for the inspiration. Tom Keith Black, you were not very helpful. I had no idea what I could have said to offend you.

    Hi,

     

    I want to scratch build (first one) the USS Lawrence but, have not been able to locate any type of plans.  Did you build Her?  Also, interested in the HM Detroit.  I have an interest in the battles on Lake Erie 1812 - 1813.

The Guild is a non-profit educational organization whose mission is to “Advance Ship Modeling Through Research”. We provide support to our members in their efforts to raise the quality of their model ships.

The Nautical Research Guild has published our world-renowned quarterly magazine, The Nautical Research Journal, since 1955.
