    Hi everyone, thanks for leting me join to the Forum. I did start modelkits cause of my dad, he was the one who interested me in this hobby. Throughout my youthful life, I did lots of paper and plastic modelkits. Then I took a break from modeling for my work career but... a leopard can't change it's spots. A few years ago I decided to return to modeling. In the first model after this long break, I decided to used all the techniques I have learned so far at work. Which means 3D modeling and 3D printing. That's how I bild a paper-resin hybrid, polish destroyer ORP Piorun. Soon I will try to post some photos of this model that some of you may have seen on other forums. Thank you, Wieslaw

The Guild is a non-profit educational organization whose mission is to “Advance Ship Modeling Through Research”. We provide support to our members in their efforts to raise the quality of their model ships.

The Nautical Research Guild has published our world-renowned quarterly magazine, The Nautical Research Journal, since 1955. The pages of the Journal are full of articles by accomplished ship modelers who show you how they create those exquisite details on their models, and by maritime historians who show you the correct details to build.
