    Hi all. I am still new and nearly finished my 2nd ship and would love to display them on a nice base rather than the small wooden stands that are supplied. I have built the Artesania Latina Santa Maria and nearly have finished the Occre Buccaneer. I found some nice wood that I have made into a base and decided to buy some of the brass ferrules. I did'nt realise that they needed to inserted when the hull was made and not fully built. Lesson learned, is they any way thay they can be mounted onto my base and ships that are fully built Any pictures or links wouldbe really helpfull

The Guild is a non-profit educational organization whose mission is to “Advance Ship Modeling Through Research”. We provide support to our members in their efforts to raise the quality of their model ships.

The Nautical Research Guild has published our world-renowned quarterly magazine, The Nautical Research Journal, since 1955. The pages of the Journal are full of articles by accomplished ship modelers who show you how they create those exquisite details on their models, and by maritime historians who show you the correct details to build.
