    A little more progress on the St Roch today , starting to resemble a ship I think ?

    Latest progress on the St Roch , bottom half complete apart for some paint refinement and touch ins . Wasn't happy with the results from the waterline tool , so ended up doing by eye . Pleased with how it's starting to look , now on to the fiddly bits !

    Latest painting progress on the St Roch , masking tape was only a partial success. I put the last coat of black on too heavy and caused it to bleed under the tape . But after lots of refinement with a fine brush and a reasonably steady hand with still more to go! I'm starting to be pleased with how it looks . Although I feel it would probably be far quicker to paint the original ship!.

    Frustrated and held up waiting for the postman to bring a missing chain plate ! I decided I'd make one , not perfect but will do the job I can push on now.

The Guild is a non-profit educational organization whose mission is to “Advance Ship Modeling Through Research”. We provide support to our members in their efforts to raise the quality of their model ships.

The Nautical Research Guild has published our world-renowned quarterly magazine, The Nautical Research Journal, since 1955.
