    Do you happen to know what happened to the mast kit that was listed in the NRG Resources page.  I'm working on the half hull planking kit and thought I might like to do the mast kit too, but it's not listed anymore.  Any info would be appreciated.  Thank you.

      The rigging kit is currently out of stock.  Please contact the office to add your name to the waiting list.  Soon, the practicum will be available for download.  This would let you build the model at a much lower cost than what we are able to price it at.

    I'm located in Dayton, Ohio.  Fairly new to ship modeling.  I've mostly done plastic kits in the past but I have completed the first two kits in the model shipways beginner series.  I just ordered the third kit in the series.  I'm looking forward to starting it when it arrives and plan on using this site to help me develop my skills.

The Guild is a non-profit educational organization whose mission is to “Advance Ship Modeling Through Research”. We provide support to our members in their efforts to raise the quality of their model ships.

The Nautical Research Guild has published our world-renowned quarterly magazine, The Nautical Research Journal, since 1955. The pages of the Journal are full of articles by accomplished ship modelers who show you how they create those exquisite details on their models, and by maritime historians who show you the correct details to build. The Journal is available in both print and digital editions. Go to the NRG web site (www.thenrg.org) to download a complimentary digital copy of the Journal.
