    Finnished the bulkheads today and some work on the stern.

    Finally ready to start on the Santísima Trinidad. Went trough the box today and startet the building process. The manual is only online, but it is very good.

    My first model boat project, Bounty by Billing Boats, is almost finished ( in the background of the picture ). Now I can't wait to start on my new project Santisima Trinidad. This set already has an excellent review by @James H, so I'll skip that and start on step 1 of the instructions shortly. Bounty has given me so many therapy hours, despite a lot of wondering and studying of the drawings. But I got there, even though I made a lot of mistakes. I've learned a lot and I'm looking forward to the journey ahead. This time I am going to document the process here, so maybe I can get some advices as I go to a beginner in the hobby as my self.

If you enjoy building ship models that are historically accurate as well as beautiful, then The Nautical Research Guild (NRG) is just right for you.

The Guild is a non-profit educational organization whose mission is to “Advance Ship Modeling Through Research”. We provide support to our members in their efforts to raise the quality of their model ships.

The Nautical Research Guild has published our world-renowned quarterly magazine, The Nautical Research Journal, since 1955. The pages of the Journal are full of articles by accomplished ship modelers who show you how they create those exquisite details on their models, and by maritime historians who show you the correct details to build.
