    First of all, thanks for the feedback. This SM was a bashed Artesana Latina kit.

    The difference in the stern configuration to yours is that I changed my hull design and made a round tuck as opposed to a square tuck.

     

    Round tuck is a more primitive shipwrights design and began to be changed to the  squarer version in the early sixteenth century. i.e. the age of Spanish galleons.

     

    I hope you decide to restart your build and if you do and post a build log, I will follow your progress with interest.
