Thanks Tom, but I made a rule when I started this project that I would buy absolutely nothing ready made, bit of a masochistic point of view I admit especially as it is my first model!

I am building a scratch model of HMS Bounty 1/60 and am ready to start mounting the fore yard. All the blocks are in place but now I need to rig the jeers to the yard. How can i hold it in place while I run the line through the jeers, seem a very fiddly thing to do. Any ideas?

Thank guys, very helpful,Norman's idea is very tempting, but I promised myself that absolutely nothing would be purchased in finished or kit form...so masochist that I am, have to scratch build them.

I am scratch building HMS Bounty scale 1:60. Any help on how to make the open launches? Do I need temporary formers to support the planking and would they have been clinker built?
