Hi all,
A few quick enquiries:
Did the larger Spanish ships have the netting/stowage nets along either side of the main deck like the English ships- like the Victory?
and did they have their name on the transom ?
I cant find any info on this and would like to install the netting if this is accurate !
cheers !

The AL Endeavour does look OK
I like the idea of the double planking............
-
Not a bad- I finished mine some time ago
you may need to double plank it though- I single planked mine and it looked terrible !!

Hi
Having finished the AL San Juan Nepomuceno some years back, I'm looking to build a larger Endeavour- 1:50 ish scale
I had some issues with the Nepomuceno kit.......
I had to double plank the hull, as one layer didn't cut the mustard !
in doing so, I became better at planking than I thought-
So I'm after some advice on which kit supplier does the best Endeavour...
Something that is double planked, good fittings,brass/ photo etch etc, good rigging and construction instructions ( and a reasonable price !)
Not interested in sails or bases-
Occre looks good-
the AL also looks good, good price- but has received some bad press, and from my experience I can see why !
Suggestions anyone?
Cheers !

Does anyone know if the larger Spanish man-o-wars' used mesh/ rigging on the sides of the decks, like the Victory, to store the crews hammocks during the day?
also
Did the Spanish ships have their name on the transom ( also like the "Victory")
cheers
