Hi,

I have just bought a couple of Amatis turned brass columns and a nice piece of wooden base but Im not sure about how to attach the columns to the base as they have no threads on the inside.

I thought they were ment for a screw from underneath, but obviously not...

 

Any suggestions? Glue doesnt seem as a very good alternative...

 

I hope you have some ideas for me.

I agree with Brian, that's how I do it too. I use brass or stainless screws.
