1884 Sequin Tug's mascot color?

Ahoy Mates

 

Trying to find what color the mascot of the 1884 Sequin Tug was. It's a large rooster that was on top of the Pilot House. Need to know what color or colors it was threw the long life of the tug. I am finishing up the Bluejacket kit of it,and am at the point of finishing it up,and the last thing to paint is the rooster.
