Well it has been some time since I visited this site and had to rejoin. My old name was Les Rogers but now I am Ginger!

I need help and it would have to come from Aussie members,

I am looking for info on a cutter I think was built on the Manning River nsw and was skippered at one time by Capt. James Thrower who was drowned whilst mapping the Bar at Urunga in 1846.

It was aprox 33tons and worked between Sydney and Bellingen which at that time was a ship building port.

The Urunga Museum has the headstone from the Capt`s grave on display at its entrance.

If I can find out enough on this vessel I will build it for the Museum.

Any lead will help.

Regards Les

G'day Las, nice to see you back on the forum! :)

If she was built on the manning, have you tried contacting the Taree Historical Society?  They may have something.
