My first posting here so please forgive any errors.

Currently on my fourth build , all  A.L., and new  to this forum. I am learning so much, thank you all.

To date I have used the standard metal boat that comes with the kit and would love to attempt the wooden  boats I have seen on the forum but am very puzzled.

Where do they come from ??

Do you scratch build them? If so where do you obtain plans?

Are they available as commercially sold laser cut kits if so where?

Do you get plans and then arrange to get wood laser cut if so who does that??

Please help, where do these babies come from?

Thank you in advance for any help.

Welcome aboard mate.  Hope you choose to share some of your builds with us here on MSW.

Here's one source of ship's boats

Page through it....there are several sizes and types available.
