This has been on my mind and I thought I would throw this out there.  About a month ago, I was bidding on the Constructo Mayflower kit on Ebay.  I thought I was getting a great deal for around $100 and was the leading bidder for around 4 days.

Then I started to research the ship a little more in detail.  I started to think that the Constructo version was a little too pretty for an authentic version of the Mayflower.  Some of the other kits are less attractive but I found to be more realistic of what the Mayflower may have looked like around 1620.

Alas, I stopped bidding and lost a great kit for around $120.  I really think that when my skill level is up to speed I will grab a kit similar to what ships looked like in the early 17th century.

Am I correct in thinking this way?

Thanks

Casey
