Doubt about whaling trophies

Hello everyone.

I am new to this hobby and soon I will be uploading my progress in a kit that I am making, I only had a question which I do not know if this is the space to be able to inform myself.

I am very interested in the whale hunt and the whaling models, specifically those from the United States, when I saw the movie in the heart of the sea, I realized that the harpooners use a trophy that I suppose is a whale bone, does anyone know if this Was it true and if so, does anyone have more information on the subject? I leave below a link with the trophies they used in the movie.
