Ironhead Posted Sunday at 10:40 PM Share #1 Posted Sunday at 10:40 PM I guess I am just a bit dense, since (1) I cannot find my copy of planking fans and how to use them, and (2) is there a book/pamphlet/publication that details the proper way to plank a blunt bow hull (like Victory)? I don't consider myself a novice builder, having built several dozen ships of varying size and scale. But getting older has the condition of wanting to simplify procedures, but still getting the results (none of my ships are or would be considered museum quality); I began this hobby because I truly enjoy working with my hands, and building plastic models grew old in hurry. I will probably continue to build whatever I can get my hands on until either the eyesight gives out, the hands stop working or I head into the great shipyard in the sky. Still, it would be an immense pleasure to find someone who can show me how to line out a hull (if Chuck Passaro has anything like that, where do I find it?).
