Premier Ship Modelling orders

Hi all,

 

I just wondering what are the opinions of Premier Ship Modelling to order from. As they had a 30-40% sale I ordered three ship kits almost a month ago and I don't see my order started to be delivered at all. I contacted them by email. Getting vague assurances "dispatch tomorrow" or "send it next week". Did I order from a sketchy company? Or is it because the sale? What are the experiences with the UK site?

Bit of mixed reviews on Trustpilot. It seems to happen more often there that they have models "in stock," but later it turns out they still have to be ordered from the manufacturer. Perhaps that's what's happening to you too?

Probably. It is a bit annoying as Jotika redirects directly to them. Also found reviews that they get delivered kits within a few days.

I ordered the Occre Polaris from them on 1 December, on the last day of their Black Friday sale.

 

It still hadn't been dispatched by 19 December so I raised a PayPal claim and Paypal refunded me.

 

Premier Ships then contacted me and said it was about to be dispatched and asked me to drop the PayPal claim.  They said they were so busy at Christmas that it was 'chaotic'.  

 

I decided to cancel anyway and will be ordering a Vanguard Sherbourne in the New Year.

 

I think that Premier Ship are a legit company, but very slow at fulfilling kit orders and not communicative.
