This is a scratch built model of a battle station.
It is scale 1:48 and made from wild service tree and brass.
The cross section shows a 30 pounder carronade, as was used on the French corvette "La Créole".
You have done remarkably well, especially for a novice builder. I know modelers who never achieve what you have done. There are many sites online that show various techniques for both making flags and hanging them realistically. Here's one on You Tube:

Apologies for my late reply. Noticed your question, while browsing through old logs, etc,...I used all the ornaments, guns, gun carriages, etc...
However : regarding the rigging I used additional blocks.
One remark : this is an Ante-MSW building ( before MSW-membership). Otherwise, I'd rigged the guns+more details.
