H.M.S. Persephone

This is a scratch build made entirely of Lego and lots of string. It was designed to be as accessible as possible to those interested in ships of the line and 18th century sailing. It can be split into 4 sections to access the interior which is fully realized with 64 individual canons, 4 capstans, many rooms and other details. She also has a crew of 50 minifigures, about 1/10th the actual number of crew but enough to crowd the decks.

The build itself took over two years, mainly of research and a lot of creative design. It is loosely based on the 64 gun third rate Ardent class ships of the line designed by Sir Thomas Slade, such as the infamous Agamemnon. I chose to give her a fictitious name and backstory so as not to discredit those famous and glorious British ships of the line.

Hello - this is so brilliant!!  Well done!  Did you base this on the real HMS PERSEPHONE?  I’m trying to find a pic/painting of the real one as one of my anscestors sailed on it
