  2. H.M.Bark Endeavour - Corel kit bashed

    This is my last effort.
    I purchased the Core kit of the Endeavour and I discovered that the floating replica is slighty different...
    So I decided to modify heavily the kit, in order to be more "in compliance" with the history.
    The Corel kit basically is 80% correct, but 20% it is not acceptable to me.
    I followed as best I can the Conway monography.
    The details of the ship that are not like the Conway monography are so because sometimes I was too lazy...

  4. Sant'Antonio da Padova - Papal states - 1715

    model donated by Pope Benedict XIV in 1754 to the Bologna University.
    Now in the Museo Universitario di Palazzo Poggi in Bologna - Italy.
    Total model lenght 2,40 m / width 0,5 m /height 2,06 m
    Sorry for the low quality of the photos, but the light in the museum is kept low in order to not ruin the models.

If you enjoy building ship models that are historically accurate as well as beautiful, then The Nautical Research Guild (NRG) is just right for you.

The Guild is a non-profit educational organization whose mission is to “Advance Ship Modeling Through Research”. We provide support to our members in their efforts to raise the quality of their model ships.

The Nautical Research Guild has published our world-renowned quarterly magazine, The Nautical Research Journal, since 1955. The pages of the Journal are full of articles by accomplished ship modelers who show you how they create those exquisite details on their models, and by maritime historians who show you the correct details to build. The Journal is available in both print and digital editions. Go to the NRG web site (www.thenrg.org) to download a complimentary digital copy of the Journal.
