    Hello,
    this is a model from the „Museum für Hamburgische Geschichte“ (Museum of Hamburg's History)
    It is a huge model, nearly 3,50 m long and build 1720.

  8. The Gokstad Ship 900 AD 1:50

    The Gokstad ship is a 9th-century Viking ship found in a burial mount at Gokstad in Sandar, Sandeford, Vestfold, Norway. It is displayed at the Viking Ship Museum in Oslo , Norway. It is the largest preserved Viking ship in Norway.                                      source: Wikipedia
     
    I build this model after the plans from the Museum and the book by V. Bishoff, the Oseberg Ship, mostly from Castello and Pear wood.

The Nautical Research Guild has published our world-renowned quarterly magazine, The Nautical Research Journal, since 1955.
