    I've recently started on this model. Still at the deck planking stage. Just an update on the kit: Seems like Amati has made some changes: A single (A4 sheet printed both sides) English instructions has been included. Same parts are now laser cut. Apparently, two new sheets has been added showing the mast constructions and rigging. Maybe I'll start a build blog to continue and add to John E's build ( see he posted last over 2 years ago). But I have also been burned a bit by the MSW1 crash with my other build. Will approach it differently this time.

The Guild is a non-profit educational organization whose mission is to “Advance Ship Modeling Through Research”. We provide support to our members in their efforts to raise the quality of their model ships.

The Nautical Research Guild has published our world-renowned quarterly magazine, The Nautical Research Journal, since 1955. The pages of the Journal are full of articles by accomplished ship modelers who show you how they create those exquisite details on their models, and by maritime historians who show you the correct details to build.
