    I just completed the AL Constellation last Summer. Photos of it are in the Gallery Section of this site.
     
    I used stiff pieces of wire and glued them to the top of the gunport and painted to match. Then drilled holes in the side of the ship above the gunport to accept the wire extending from the gunport. Once the gunports are attached and tilted upward the wire is barely visable. The flexible wire also helps to adjust the angle of the open gunport.
