  1. Thanks Richard. I'm new to the forum, the search function is helpful . Getting back into wood model ship building. Started building the Constructo Schooner and let it sit for over 40 years, finished it last year. Built Model Shipways Gunboat Philadelphia last year, it was a very interesting kit. The Bounty Launch is the 1st model using planking over a building jig. Recently found Model Ship World Forum, it is very helpful.   Thanks.  Frank

  2. Has anyone built Model Shipways (MS1850)  H.M.S. Bounty Launch? It's a very interesting wood model kit and has a great history. Have a question about Fairing the Molds. How much wood do you sand off before installing the Frames? The Frames are 3/32 square Cherry. The molds are 3/32 Basswood.  ThanksP2022147.jpg.665263ca393ec61fb2b2a0d46f1ebd46.jpg3/32 cherry for FRAMESP2022143.jpg.cdd632abee0f2bd6f0be0e8ec530494c.jpgBuilding Jig with Molds.P2022141.jpg.6d5f9c43315f3e0a39d744ac1e4264cf.jpgP2022141.jpg.6d5f9c43315f3e0a39d744ac1e4264cf.jpgMolds with stiffening strutsP2022146.jpg.95b26aec525e6af9cf787fd70be18de6.jpg
