I'm working on my first boat kit -a 1/8th scale CLC Northeaster Dory Kit. I have the outside painted with a nice white spray enamel and am now trying to finish off the inside. The only problem is that I have some ugly CA glue joints (the bow POPPED apart as I sanded through the glue that I had applied). I'd like to varnish the wood and darken the color of the inside a bit and was thinking of applying a tung oil, but am worried that it would really highlight the joints. They don't look too awful as is, but I'd hate to have them be really highlighted. Any suggestions?

I’m worried about chiseling at the glue - I already had everything pop apart once.. I guess I could give it a try.
I am going for this kind of look - well, a simpler version of it
