    Broadside's attention to detail on those three old Airfix kits is truly impressive. Abbot’s Jolly Roger pirate ship, while a bit exaggerated, is inspired by Hook's ship from the Disney theme park. His model reminded me of photos I took of the Hook’s Pirate Ship at Disneyworld Paris, where the attraction showed signs of aging with rotting lower hull timbers. It would make a great diorama. #1win

    This seems promising, but I'm an Apple user. I know working with Apple can be tricky, so I'll wait until you have an 1win iOS version you're comfortable with. I'm not confident enough to handle more advanced technical tasks.

    While this might not be sailing-related, I completely understand the need for 1/64" thick by 1/8" wide stock in your project. It's like searching for the perfect shoe to fit your outfit – sometimes, you need a unique pair of sandals to complete the look! Unfortunately, I'm not aware of any direct substitutes for KS strip stock, but you might want to explore local hardware stores or online suppliers specializing in brass materials. Good luck with your truck spring project, and may your search for the perfect 'sandal' of brass stock be successful!

    Hi there! I totally understand the struggle of getting that perfect finish on your ship models, just like decorating a kake can be a challenge sometimes. When it comes to painting the waterways and hull, historical accuracy can be a guiding principle. Typically, the waterway (the area under the bulwarks) would match the hull color, so if your hull is black, it would make sense to paint that part of the waterway black as well. However, there can be variations depending on the specific ship and era you're modeling. It's a good idea to research the historical details of the ship you're working on to ensure you're following the correct color scheme. Ultimately, the choice is yours, but aligning with historical accuracy can often result in a more pleasing and authentic appearance.
