    I am attempting to start again my long interrupted build of the USS Syren. I had gotten to stepping the masts and rigging but can't find the deadeyes that came with the kit. I ordered line from Chuck Passaro's Syren site many years ago, but now can't find his site. The good news is I've "rediscovered" this site, so I may be able to follow some other builds and get some help. Any info will be most appreciated! Lee

    I've just started the Syren. In the plans I've been unable to find the load water line (LWL) identified. Is there somewhere that may be found?

The Guild is a non-profit educational organization whose mission is to “Advance Ship Modeling Through Research”. We provide support to our members in their efforts to raise the quality of their model ships.

The Nautical Research Guild has published our world-renowned quarterly magazine, The Nautical Research Journal, since 1955. The pages of the Journal are full of articles by accomplished ship modelers who show you how they create those exquisite details on their models, and by maritime historians who show you the correct details to build.
