absolutely superb work....still haven't resumed my build of the ESSEX. Bob, any thoughts on that subject?

Bob, following your work is very enlightening. Soo much better than I've been doing; but helpful to get better.
I still have ESSEX on the shelf where you suggested I stop. Is there anything new from Model Expo on replacments or changes to the kit?
Will be done with EMMA sometime soon, and just wondering what to do next.
Cheers,

beautiful work Bob....we got 9-10 inches up here in Stuart. Fortunately, just had a section of the roof redone, and it didn't leak.
Our courses opened today. Let's see; if that was rain was snow up north, we'd be buried.
got plenty done on the ECB while the deluge fell.

I'm new to these forums, and finding them very helpful. Hopefully improving my own modeling after many years. What's your next build?

well, as I said before, I took your advice and will wait on ME....started the Emma .......this PM, while I tape the struggling Packers play Atlanta.

well I'm sure you're right, but I'd like to see if I can get through the GP's and then see about planking.
However, I'm surprised that ME hasn't recalled all the kits and offered us either a refund or a credit toward future purchases. Yours look really good, but I'm not in your league, but have enjoyed using your pics as a guide.
I've got another kit to do, so perhaps I'll wait and see what they do. Tearing up what I've done so far doesn't seem practical either. I was about to correct the BHs I can see aren't right, before I started the GPs.
Thanks for the advise. I'm up in Stuart, FL.

I just had a go round w/ME., I ordered a replacement board with the stern frames on it, as I broke two getting them out. At first I was told they had stopped shipping replacement parts for the model. But when I told Tom Snow that I was sure that particular board was OK, he relented, after apparently talking to a supervisor. However, sometime next week at the earliest. He claimed to be unaware of the problems with the kit.
Ah well, continue someplace else.

thanks...I reset the BHs and did the stern frames. called ME yesterday to ask what might happen to my kit, which came in May. Haven't had a return call. I'd like to continue, but am hesitant. They had earlier just referred me to MSW.
I did the Halifax a few years ago from the Lumber Yard. Enjoyed it. I saw u recommended the Oneida.
Thanks,

thanks for the comments. haven't heard a word from ME whether they are going to make corrections. I wonder if Sam knows?
Stopped after completing the bulkheads; and I think they're correct as near as I can tell. Are others proceeding? Sort of disappointing.
My limited knowledge leads me to believe the stoves were mounted on a brick base.
Nice today in Stuart. Too nice to work anymore on the ECB.
Cheers,
Terry
