after a long break have added two yard arms to the rear mast.

Hi Brian,

            yes im varnishing the model, have to do some sanding, i used super glue and some of it has ended up on some of the surfaces on the ship,

so sanding it of could be difficult, might have to investigate the use of a solvent though thats a bit risky since the surplus glue that has dried is near the

glued components. might just have to put up with it if it doesnt sand of. have to yet do some double planking on the cabins on the deck and some rigging also with the placement of the other masts or yardarms.

rearranged deck furniture at bow, positioning of winch at bow, added another mast to the bowsprit and added figure head.

i have the split brass rings which i can add as hoops by bending them to fit onto the masts. Thanks Ray

hi Brian,

             I noticed the rings in the instruction plans, there were some wooden ones in the kit, they didnt seem to fit at the base of the mast and i didnt want to force them onto the mast no doubt they would be broken in the process if i tried no doubt. i have some split brass rings not sure if i should use these as a substitute for the wooden rings, there were only 2 wooden wooden rings supplied and they didnt fit.

added crows nests to the mizzen and main masts.

added top of masts to mizzen and main mast.

added mizen mast? or mast in front of the bow.

drilled holes in deck for hooks, added some more deck furniture.

rearranged deck furniture on bow and added some more furniture to the deck.

added chain plate holders to the sides of the vessel.

i meant bow sprit not mizzen mast a little mix up in terminalogy.

the mizzen mast was at a to steep an angle, have extracted it and reseated the mizzen mast.

drilled various holes in the deck, mounted the base of the 2 main masts and the mizzen mast.

finished double planking the base of the hull.
