  2. T37

    This is my T37 from Tippecanoe, hull number 1093, built started back in 2010 and finished summer of 2012. The yacht weighs in at approx. 5lbs, stands 5 feet tall, keel to mast top, length is 37.5 inches.
    Sails beautiful both in lighter breeze but also in harder wind.
    Hull is painted with Volvo Ocean Blue. Primed twice, has twelve layer of blue coating and four layer clear-coating.

  3. 18th Century Longboat - Model Shipways - by Nirvana - Finished

    After almost three years including a couple of moves and no time to hobbies, I am home.
    This kit was a gift from The Admiral, it was re-gifted to her today.

    Here is my capstan from Chuck.
    I like this little kit, perfect for a single unit display.
    The case has glass cover with a mirror in the bottom.

  5. DF95

    This is the Joys-Way ARTR model DF95.
    There was some hickups during the assembly. Which I had to fix, material failure and other quality issues.
    Now US (41)19 is ready for the water.

If you enjoy building ship models that are historically accurate as well as beautiful, then The Nautical Research Guild (NRG) is just right for you.

The Guild is a non-profit educational organization whose mission is to “Advance Ship Modeling Through Research”. We provide support to our members in their efforts to raise the quality of their model ships.

The Nautical Research Guild has published our world-renowned quarterly magazine, The Nautical Research Journal, since 1955. The pages of the Journal are full of articles by accomplished ship modelers who show you how they create those exquisite details on their models, and by maritime historians who show you the correct details to build. The Journal is available in both print and digital editions. Go to the NRG web site (www.thenrg.org) to download a complimentary digital copy of the Journal.
