Brian100 Posted March 13, 2020 #1 Posted March 13, 2020 Hi, has anybody tried libreCAD free software, and if so is it any good. I need a new CAD program as my Turbocad 18 deluxe isn't working properly and Avanquest no longer support it. Many thanks.

It is supposed to be based on the IntelliCad software (open-sourced?) that I used for years as a designer for engineered lumber. But in LibreCad the user interface, the way that it accepts input, is very clumsy. I've been reading on this site about other CAD programs, and I hear good things about DesignCad's interface. I'd be willing to pay for it, but I want to access a trial version first. Can't seem to find one of those for the latest version. grsjax 1

Very good interface and documentation. v22 is now out of date and will not run on Windows 10 but newer versions are available for reasonable price. My advice and comments are always worth what you paid for them.
