I don't know if I'm in the right area here.  I have spent several hours trying to find a source for nails.  I'm looking for nails about 1/2" long and somewhere around .025" diameter.  I don't care whether they are brass or some other metal.  While I can find kits that include nails, I can't find just nails.  Does anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks for your help

I thought MicroMark had brass lill pins , but theirs are steel.

Try Amazon,  I got mine years ago - from Model Shipways when they only had solid hull kits

Or try a hardware store.  You can search for escutcheon pins (for solid brass) or for panel pins (for steel).

Thanks for the suggestions.  The available sizes are too big.  Before I searched on line, I went to several big and little box hardware stores and two hobby stores.  I need them to hold pieces of 1/32" wood to a jig as part of a scratch build I'm doing of some Civil War armaments.  Anything thicker than 22 gauge is going to leave too big of a hole to plug well.

Brian,

Thanks for the suggestion.  But I really don't care what they look like since all they're going to do is hold down some thin wood during a glue up.

0.025 is a #72 drill

I got a box of pins that are an easy #71 and tight #72 at a local Farbic Hut.

They also have Mylar sheets at a reasonable price.
