I am building the barque Stefano from MariStella. I have only used the bulkheads construction, the beatifull drawings and some small parts. The other materials are from my big Scrap boxes. 

The firt thre pictures are from last summer and the last three pictures are from today.

Why don't you use elements supplied with the box (except for the hull)?

I didnt use most of the materials in the box. Mine first layer of lime board and the second layer with boards are of much better quality. The masts and rigging are bought from Cris Watton and the rope from rope ofscale in Canada. Also changed a littel bit of the houses and deckplanks from my wery big scrap box. <it is no prblem with building it direct from the box. I have buildt many models but I thing this is the most hard. The bulkheads and the construction of the bulheads are the best I haver ever seen. The rest are so and so.

 

It have been an interesting build. 

 

Earlier I have built many ships: Fram 1:50, Alert 1:64, HMS Speedy 1:64, Indefatigable 1:64, Cutty Sark BB model, and many more, some scratsh build too. If you like I can sheare some photos of them. My next projekt is Oseberg viking ship from Ukraine.
