When planning the rigging of my Paragon model, I decided to learn how to make my own rope.  I tried a couple of versions of horizontal Rope Walks, but finally decided to use the Prozak vertical rope making machine.  In using the Prozak I discovered that I needed to develop a couple of tools to make the rope, and also needed to develop techniques for dying the rope, setting the color, and waxing the rope.

Since I no longer intend to make model rope, I’m offering the entire set of rope making tools and materials as a single item for sale.  This includes the Prozak machine and the associated tools:

The set also includes over 20 spools of DMC Cordonnet lace crochet thread in all gauges, and several samples of different size ropes made with these threads.

The set includes the manufacturer’s instructions for using the Prozak, a worksheet showing the thread combinations for different sizes of rope and instructions for dying the rope, and a documented process that I developed for making rope.

I have also included packets of the various dye colors used in rope making, and also included the rack I used for hanging the rope to dry.

An overview of the rope-making process can be seen in the Build Log for my Paragon model.

I prefer payment via PayPal.  The complete rope making set is available for US $150, plus $31.40 for Priority Mail shipping.

I will provide a phone number if you contact me via PM.
